About the Seacoast MavericksThe Seacoast Mavericks are a non-profit, collegiate wood bat summer baseball team that competes in the Futures Collegiate Baseball League (FCBL). Our 30 player roster consists primarily of New England athletes currently playing college baseball at the Division 1, 2, or 3 levels. These players will be under the watchful eye of professional baseball scouts with the hope of being selected in Major League Baseball’s amateur draft. The FCBL is comprised of teams located in Nashua, NH (Silver Knights), Martha’s Vineyard, MA (Sharks), Torrington, CT (Titans), North Shore, MA (Navigators), Brockton, MA (Rox), Pittsfield, MA (Suns), Old Orchard Beach, ME (Raging Tides), and Wachusett, MA (Dirt Dawgs). The FCBL is planning and negotiating with other locations for further expansion in the 2013 season. Dave Hoyt is founder and principal of the Seacoast Mavericks team. Dave also owns and operates the USA Training Center and the USA Mavericks Baseball Club, a nationally recognized youth program that supports over 120 players in six age divisions, U12 through U18. |
